71; of New Albany

Funeral services for Doris L. Lohmeyer Frakes, 71, of New Albany, will be at 1 p.m. Monday, July 13, at Kraft Funeral Service, Charlestown Road Chapel, New Albany, with burial in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park. She died Friday, July 10, 2009, at her residence in New Albany.

She was a native of Mauckport, and was a retired employee with General Electric Appliance Park Co. in Louisville.

Survivors include her husband of 52 years, Noel Frakes; granddaughter, Jaclyn C. Frakes, of New Albany; brothers, Douglas Lohmeyer, of Mauckport, and Carl Lohmeyer, of New Albany; sister, Barbara Sutherland, of Mauckport; and daughter-in-law, Tracy M. Lamb, of New Albany.

She was preceded in death by her son, Dennis N. Frakes; parents, Dewey and Waden Lohmeyer; and sister, Beverly Brochman.

Visitation will be at the funeral home from noon to 8 p.m. Sunday.

The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to Hosparus — Hospice of Southern Indiana.
