Simon ‘Pete’ Limp, 86; World War II Navy veteran
Funeral services for Simon “Pete” Limp, 86, of Clarksville, will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, July 11, at Chapman Funeral Home, with entombment in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park. He died Monday, July 7, 2008, at Clark Memorial Hospital.
He was born in Washington County and was a retired cable technician-repairman for Bell South. He was also an employee of Wooded View Golf Course in Clarksville. He was a Navy veteran of World War II, a member of American Legion Post 28, New Albany, VFW Post 3281 in New Albany, and a member of Main Cross Baptist Church in Charlestown.
Survivors include his wife, Marie DellaRosa Limp; a daughter Phyllis Limp; a son, Buddy Limp; a stepson, Steve Reed; two stepdaughters, Millie Ross and Kitty Austin; 11 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
Visitation at the funeral home will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today, Thursday, July 10. Visitation was also from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 9 at the funeral home.
