Danny D. Jones, 60; Vietnam Air Force veteran

Funeral services for Danny D. Jones, 60, of New Albany, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 12, at the Kraft Funeral Services, Spring Street Chapel, with burial in Union Chapel Cemetery, Milltown. He died Monday, July 7, 2008.

The son of the late Cleo Jones and Freda Seacat Dukes, he was born Dec. 9, 1947 in Marengo. He was an Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War, a former over-the-road truck driver and a dispatcher with Talon Logistics Services in New Albany.

Survivors include his son, Joey Jones, Sellersburg; daughters, Dannielle Jones, New Albany and Melissa Ostrom, Georgia; stepfather, James E. Dukes, Milltown; sister, Connie Larson, New Albany; brother, Tim Dukes, New Albany; stepbrother, Tony Dukes, Paoli; and 10 grandchildren.

Visitation at the funeral home will be from 1 to 8 p.m. Friday, July 11.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the family in care of Kraft Funeral Service, 708 E. Spring St., New Albany.
