Martha Lucille Roberts Benningfield, 73; of New Albany
Funeral services for Martha Lucille Roberts Benningfield, 73, of New Albany, will be celebrated at 11 a.m. today, Friday, July 11, at the Kraft Funeral Services, Spring Street Chapel, with burial in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park. She died Monday, July 7, 2008, at Floyd Memorial Hospital and Health Services.
She was born Jan. 2, 1935 in Arkansas and worked at H.A. Seinsheimer’s and Bruce Fox Co. in New Albany.
Survivors include her husband, Joseph Berlin Benningfield, Depauw; son, Joe Benningfield and wife, Cathy, Corydon; siblings, Chester W. Roberts, Corydon, Marclee Johnson, New Albany, Betty L. Decker, New Albany and Hazel M. Clark, Salem; grandchild, Shawn Sprose, Hardinsburg; six step-grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Voyd E. and Bessie Proffitt Roberts; a son, David M. Benningfield; and brother, James E. Roberts.
Visitation at the funeral home was from 1 to 8 p.m. Thursday, July 10.
