Martin G. Hailey, 79; U.S. Army veteran

A funeral Mass for Martin G. Hailey, 79, of Jeffersonville will be at noon Thursday, July 17, at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church with burial in Queen of Heaven Cemetery. He died Sunday, July 13, 2008, at Baptist Hospital East, Louisville.

He graduated from St. Xavier High School and then served in the U.S. Army. He retired from Schering-Plough Healthcare where he was a manager and sales representative. He was a member of St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church.

Survivors include his wife, Yvonne Hailey; son, Tim Hailey, of Brooklyn, N.Y.; daughters, Lynn Hailey, of Cincinnati, and Lisa Kobe and husband, Ken, of Indianapolis; grandchildren, David and Ellen Kobe; and sister, Julia Gatterer, of Covington, Ky.

Visitation will be at E.M. Coots’ Sons Funeral Home, in Jeffersonville, from 3 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and after 9 a.m. Thursday.

The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to Adoration Chapel Fund St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church, 639 South Shelby St., Louisville, 40202.
