Samuel David Scott, 68; of Pekin

Funeral services for Samuel David Scott, 68, of Pekin, will be held at 11 a.m. today, Tuesday, July 15, at Garr Funeral Home, with burial in Olive Branch Cemetery. He died Friday, July 11, 2008, at home after long illness.

He was a native of Burksville, Ky., the son of Brance and Thelma Humphrey Scott. He was retired as a machine operator for Darmic Co., Corydon.

Survivors include two sons, David A. Scott, Pekin and Tom A. Scott, Laconia; two daughters, Dawn M. Blankenship and Mary E. Smith, New Albany; a brother; four sisters; and 10 grandchildren.

Visitation was Monday, July 14, from 1 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
