Fred L. Blocher, 67; of Sellersburg
Fred L. Blocher, 67, of Sellersburg died Wednesday, July 16, 2008, at Clark Memorial Hospital. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
He was born Oct. 8, 1940, in Dayton, Ohio, to the late Fredrick and Winifred Blocher. He was the former owner of Clark Auto Supply in Jeffersonville and worked in the automotive after-market for many years. He was also an avid golfer at Wooded View Golf Course.
Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Jenny Wren Blocher; children, Jeffrey Blocher and wife, Victoria, Dallas, N.C., Amie James and husband, Anthony, Wilmington, N.C., Julie Callaway and husband, Jeff, New Albany, and Emily Sandullo and husband, Nicholas, Evansville; sister, Nancy Terranova and husband, Ed, Kettering, Ohio; grandchildren, Dalton James, Emerson James, Danielle Cook, Seth Cook, Mallory Sandullo, and Owen Sandullo; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be at Kraft Funeral Services, Charlestown Road Chapel, from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, July 18.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to the Strong Kids Campaign Scholarships at the YMCA of Southern Indiana, P.O. Box 1525, Jeffersonville, 47131.
