Clarence E. Belviy, 92; of Lanesville

Funeral services for Clarence E. Belviy, 92, of Lanesville, will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 28, at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Georgetown, with burial in Lanesville Protestant Cemetery. He died Monday, Aug. 25, 2008, at the Harrison Health and Rehabilitation Center in Corydon.

He was born in New Albany Aug. 7, 1916, to the late Clarence H. and Caroline C. Copler Belviy. He was a retired salesman for Retailer Supply Co., where he worked for 34 years.

Survivors include his sons, Stephen E. Belviy and wife, Dora Ann, of New Albany, and Robert R. Belviy and wife, Janice, of Scottsburg; three grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and eight great-great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his beloved canine companion, Lucy.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, the former Mary Frances Klerner; a sister and four brothers.

Visitation at the funeral home will be from 2 to 8 p.m. today and after 9 a.m. Thursday.

The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to Hosparus of Southern Indiana.
