Shirley Ray Coleman, 82; of Jeffersonville

Funeral services for Shirley Ray Coleman, 82, of Jeffersonville, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 30, at Scott Funeral Home’s North Chapel, Jeffersonville, with burial in Walnut Ridge Cemetery. He died Thursday, Aug. 28, 2008, at his home.

He was a Bowling Green, Ky. native, a self-employed union painter for 13 years, worked at Anaconda Aluminum for 14 years, and was a member of Meigs Avenue Church of Christ.

Survivors include his loving wife of 64 years, Lucille Coleman; sons, Donnie “Babby” Coleman and wife, Carla, Jeffersonville, Ronnie Coleman, and wife, Kathy, Clarksville, Butch Coleman and wife, Wilma, Clarksville, Dennis Coleman and wife, Amanda, Memphis, and Gary Coleman and wife, Suzanne, Jeffersonville; daughter, Pam Richey and husband, Scott, Jeffersonville; 14 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; brother, Carlos Coleman, Bowling Green, Ky.; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Hattie Coleman, two sisters, and three brothers.

Visitation will be at the funeral home from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 29.
