Frances K. Tyler, 99; of New Albany

Funeral services for Frances K. Tyler, 99, of New Albany, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 30, at Kraft Funeral Service, Spring Street Chapel, with burial in Fairview Cemetery, New Albany. She died Wednesday, Aug. 27, 2008, at Robert E. Lee Health & Rehab, New Albany.

She was born June 14, 1909, in Louisville, to the late Robert and Lena Matheny Metz. She was an employee of the old Lone Star Restaurant, a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, both in New Albany, and proud to have been the first of six generations in the Tyler family.

Survivors include her son, James L. Tyler, New Albany; daughter, Mary Delores Sanders, Clarksville; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; and one great-great-great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward H. Tyler; and a son, Robert E. Tyler.

Visitation at the funeral home will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 29.
