Georgia Anna Cox Lowe, 94; of Corydon
Funeral services for Georgia Anna Cox Lowe will be at 2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 13, at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home, Corydon, with burial in Cedar Hill Cemetery. She died Wednesday, Oct. 8, 2008, at her home in Corydon.
She was born Oct. 17, 1913, in Iris to George W. and Viola Sampson Cox. She was a cook for the Corydon Elementary School and was a member of the Potato Run United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her son, Clifford Lowe and his wife, Carolyn, Corydon; daughters, Violet Eckart and her husband, Charles, and Mary Lou Kitterman and her husband, Stephen, all of Corydon; foster sister, Gladys Lowe Payne, Owensboro, Ky.; 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wesley Edward Lowe; daughter, Thelma Grace Lowe Frank; and granddaughter, Heather Down Eckart.
Visitation at the funeral home will be from 1 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 12, and from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday.
The family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of contribution to the Potato Run Church Cemetery Fund, Hosparus of Southern Indiana, and Leora Brown School for “Frank Scott House.”
