Eddie Mae Young Kitterman Deutsch, 97; of Louisville
Funeral services for Eddie Mae Young Kitterman Deutsch, 97, of Louisville, will be at 1 p.m. Friday, Oct. 17, at Gehlbach and Royse Funeral Home, Corydon, with burial in Perseverance Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery in Corydon. She died Tuesday, Oct. 14, 2008, at the Masonic Home, Louisville.
She was born Jan 12, 1911 in Hart County, Ky. She was a homemaker and had briefly worked at the Ammunition Plant, Charlestown, during World War II. She was a long time member of Perseverance Chapel United Methodist Church, Corydon and had attended Beechmont Baptist and Bethlehem Baptist in Louisville.
Survivors include two daughters, Norma Hollcroft, Louisville, with whom she previously lived with, and Opal McKibben and husband, Rolland, Kokomo; four grandchildren, Gregory Rainbolt, Penny McKibben and husband, Steve, Marsha Ramberg and husband, Scott and Anthony Smith; 11 great- grandchildren; 14 great-great grandchildren; and cousins: Willie Hobson, William Young and Irene Whitman.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lillie (Riordan) and Harry Young; her first husband, Cecil Kitterman (1959); her second husband Herschel Deutsch (1972); two brothers, Herschel Young and Louis Young; a grandson, Ray Alexander (1999); a son-in-law, Jim Hollcroft (2006); and a great-granddaughter, Savannah Smith (2007).
The family wishes to thank the Masonic Home staff, especially the Friendly Hills Wing, for their friendship and loving care of our loved one. Visitation at the funeral home will be noon to 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 16 and after 9 a.m. on Friday.
