Robert C. Mann Jr., 59; of Jeffersonville

Funeral services for Robert C. Mann Jr., 59, of Jeffersonville, will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 17, at Coots’ Funeral Home, Jeffersonville, with burial in the Eastern Cemetery. He died Monday, Oct. 13, 2008, at Clark Memorial Hospital, Jeffersonville.

He was born Nov. 6, 1948, in Jeffersonville to Robert C. Mann Sr. and Ellen R. Eckert Mann. He worked as a welder at Jeffboat and worked for Eagle Steel and William Shell Service Center. He played with the Jeffersonville High School football team and in 1965 won the outstanding lineman award during the Jeffersonville vs. Providence game. He was a member of Branham Tabernacle and the AARP.

Survivors include his parents, Robert and Ellen Mann, Jeffersonville; brother, David L. Mann and wife, Debbie, Jeffersonville; niece, Meredith R. Mann, Jeffersonville; uncles, Edward Lee Mann, Milltown, Ky., and Archie Mann, Louisville; aunts, Dorothy M. Holt, Columbia, Ky., and Julia E. Miller, Corydon; and many cousins.

Visitation will be at the funeral home from 3 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 16.
