88; World War II Air Force veteran

Harrison Shope, 88, of Taylorsville, Ky., died Tuesday, Oct. 27, 2009, at Signature Health Care Facility. A Memorial service will be held at a later date. Cremation by Scott Family Crematory, Jeffersonville

He was born in Campbellsville, Ky., was retired from Shope Realty Company and Standard Graveur, was a member of Sunnyside Assembly of God, Civil Air Patrol, the American Kennel Club, and was an Air Force veteran of World War II

Survivors include his wife, Willie Shope, Taylorsville; children, Philip Shope and his wife, Robin, of Jeffersonville, Linda Campbell, of England; Diane Leach, of Dayton, Ohio and Jill Orberson, of St. Louis, Mo.; 18 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Laura Shope; daughter, Chris Owsley; four siblings; and his former wife, Margie Shope.
