Mildred L. Fisher Stiller

83; of Floyds Knobs

A funeral Mass for Mildred L. Fisher Stiller, 83, of Floyds Knobs, will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 2, at St. Mary of the Knobs Catholic Church, 3033 Martin Road, Floyds Knobs, with burial in the church cemetery. She died Thursday, Oct. 29, 2009, at her home in Floyd Knobs, as a result of pancreatic cancer.

As an avid and persistent walker, she has finally hung up her walking shoes and gone to be with the Father. “Millie” was born and raised in Harrison County and later made her home in Floyd County after her marriage to her late husband, Nolan V. Stiller.

Survivors include her children, Dr. Jeffrey Stiller and his wife, Suzanne, Thomas Stiller and his wife, Janet, Stephen Stiller DDS and his wife, Brenda, Beverly Uhl and her husband, Donnie, Jacqueline Sluss and her husband, Tom, Gary Stiller and his wife, Elaine, and Dennis Stiller and his wife, Jeannie; grandchildren, Mitch, Wes Stiller, Nolan, Maddie Stiller, Jordan, Taylor Care’, Tyler, Hannah Stiller, Matt, Jonathan, Brandon Uhl, Jennifer, Stephanie Sluss, Chad, Scott, Wesley, Troy Stiller, Tiffany, Denise, and Hilary Stiller; and great-grandchildren, Shea, Emma, Hayden Stiller, and Vanessa Burns; her dearest friend, Wilfred Freiberger; brothers and sisters, Maurice Fisher and his wife, Eleanora, Edmund Fisher and his wife, Deanna, Eva Libs, Phyllis Fouts, Patricia Armstrong and her husband, Bob, and Sharon Steiner and her husband, Jerry.

She was preceded in death by Mary Catherine Stumler; Neva Stiller; and Walter A Fisher Jr.

Visitation will be at Kraft Funeral Service, Spring Street Chapel, New Albany, from 2 to 8 p.m., with a prayer service at 4:30 p.m., Sunday.

The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to Hosparus of Southern Indiana.
