Funeral services for Eleanor Thomas White O’Bryan, 82, of Charlestown, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 11, at Grayson Funeral Home, Charlestown, with burial in Resthaven Cemetery, Louisville. She was called home to her Lord on Monday, Oct. 8.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Charlestown. Her faith and family have always been the core of her life. There was no greater joy than to see her family grow and retain the values she had taught, and no prouder accomplishment than her five loving sons and their wives (who she always referred to as her daughters).
She is survived by her five sons, Larry and his wife, Sharon, of Charlestown, Steve and his wife, Barbara, of Louisville, Mike and his wife, Karen, of South Lake, Texas, Sidney and his wife, Rubyanne, of Charlestown, and Ted and his wife, Penny, of Charlestown; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father, Rev. Ralph B. White; her mother, Blanche S. White; her husband, Ray T. O’Bryan; and an infant sister, Joyce.
Visitation will be on from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, at the funeral home.
