Sharon M. Caton Lewis, 59, of Jeffersonville, died Tuesday, May 21, 2013.
She was a loving wife, mother, daughter, and sister who treasured her family. A devout Christian, she was generous, full of life, and enjoyed the beauty of nature. Most important to her was her faith, trust in God, and admiration of all God’s creation. Her love of family and faith in God guided her through life. She was born on April 19, 1954, in Holdenville, Okla., to Pearl M. DesForges and the late Jack Caton.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, Ronald L. Lewis; children, Kenyon Nessel and his wife, Valerie, of Navarra, Fla., Allison Nessel, of Charlestown, Patrick Nessel, of Ada, Okla., Todd Lewis and his wife, Heather, of Winchester, Va., and Charles “Scooter” Lassiter, of Jeffersonville; sisters, Naomi Gilbert and her husband, Hubert, of Choctaw, Okla., Lynn Stramski, of Oklahoma City, and Jacky Caton and his wife, Sharrel, of Ada, Okla.; grandchildren, Lashun and Johnathan Ashby, Hailee and Ashley Nessel, Madison and Breanna Chapman, Jacob and Alyssa Lewis, Gage Nessel; and great-grandchildren, Malik Blackmon and Davion Johnson.
She was preceded in death by her father, and a brother, Allen Marion Caton.
Cremation was chosen following Sherry’s wishes.
