Lester G. Timberlake

83; Lanesville

— Lester G. Timberlake, 83, Lanesville, died Thursday, Jan. 2, 2014.

 He retired in 1991 from Burt R. Huncilman & Son in New Albany and was a very talented carver and artist. He was born May 30, 1930 in Harrison County, to the late Joseph M. and Esther Lockman Timberlake.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Norma J. Long Timberlake; children, Michael Timberlake, and Nettie Starr Smith and her husband, Larry; sisters, Evelyn McRae, Dora Seeley, Rose Davis, and Betty Woertz and her husband, Wayne; grandchildren, George Timberlake, Len Timberlake, Catherine Smith, Melanie Henderson, and Margaret Smith; and three great-grandchildren. 

He was preceded in death by his son, Glen Timberlake. 

Cremation was chosen following Lester’s wishes.  A Memorial Service will be held at a later date at Mt. Zion United Methodist Church, with burial in Edwardsville Cemetery.
