Earl E. Prather

93; Sellersburg

— Funeral services for Earl E. Prather, 93, Sellersburg, will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 15, at Garr Funeral Home, Sellersburg, with burial in Sellersburg Cemetery. He died Thursday, Jan. 9, 2014, at his home. 

He served his country in the United States Army during World War II, was a retired Carpenter/Cabinet Maker and a member of Sellersburg Church of Christ.

Surviving include two sons, Roger W. Prather and his wife, Donna, Charlestown, and Rex A. Prather and his wife, Marcia, Louisville; daughter, Kathy Byrd and her husband, Gary, Henryville; brothers, Victor Prather, and David Prather, Sellersburg; sister, Helen LaMaster, Sellersburg; grandchildren, Tawn Brucker, Jason Prather, Amanda Day, Donna Stacey, Misty Burks and Aaron Byrd; and 17 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 12 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and after 9 a.m. Wednesday, at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Maple Manor Christian Home.
