Sharon Kay (Smith) LaMaster, 50; Crothersville

— Sharon Kay (Smith) LaMaster, 50, rural Crothersville, passed away at 10 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 26, 2013, at Hampton Oaks of Scottsburg.

Born August 19, 1963 in Seymour, she was the daughter of Bobbie (Daniel) and John Smith Jr. Both survive in rural Crothersville.

Sharon worked for Duke Energy at the Galligher Power Plant in New Albany for 27 years.  

She was a 1982 Crothersville High School graduate where she participated in volleyball, basketball, and track and after high school she attended Watterson Business College. Sharon enjoyed league volleyball, camping, and loved being outdoors.

Other survivors include one daughter, Natosha (Andy Kidd) LaMaster of Scottsburg; one grandson, Trey Spaulding of Scottsburg; one niece, Christy (Jason) White of Austin; one nephew, Jonathan Smith of Austin; two great nieces, Saige White of Austin, Bella Campbell of Seymour; one sister, Yvonne (Michael) Stutsman of Jeffersonville; one brother, Ricky Lee (Debbie) Smith of Austin.

Brother Billy Joe Deaton will conduct funeral services at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 30, 2013 at Adams Funeral Home & Crematory in Crothersville with burial to follow at New Providence Cemetery.

Visitation will be on Friday, November 29, 2013 from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. and after 10 a.m. on Saturday, both at Adams Funeral Home & Crematory in Crothersville.
