Garnetta M. Kiesler Geswein

90; of Palmyra

— Funeral services for Garnetta M. Kiesler Geswein, 90, of Palmyra, will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 29, at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Bradford, with burial in St. Michael’s Cemetery. She died Thursday, Oct. 25, 2012, at Floyd Memorial Hospital and Health Services in New Albany.

She was a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Bradford and past president of the St. Ann’s Society at St. Michael’s. She was also the past Women’s Leader of the Floyd County Farm Bureau, Inc., a member of the Women’s Auxiliary of the American Legion #28 in New Albany, VFW Post 1693 in New Albany and the American Dairy Association. She was a staunch Republican and actively supported the Native American Indians.

Survivors include her sons, Gary Geswein and his wife, Jean, of Palmyra, Glenn Geswein, of New Albany, Greg Geswein, of New Albany, and Gordon Geswein and his wife, Diane, of Palmyra; grandchildren, Pam Weber, of Reston, Va., Alyssa Smith, of Fishers, Amy Beach, of Palmyra, Chris Geswein, of Columbia, Mo., Michelle Geswein, of New Albany and David Geswein, of Palmyra; and 12 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, George C. Geswein.

Visitation at the church will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday and after 9 a.m. Monday. Love Funeral Home in Palmyra is in charge of arrangements.

Expressions of sympathy should take the form of contributions to the building fund of St. Michael’s Church in Bradford or the Agricultural Memorial Endowment at HCCF.
