Robert L. Stum Sr., 91; of Jeffersonville

— Funeral services for Robert L. Stum Sr., 91, of Jeffersonville, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 28, at St. James United Methodist Church with burial to follow in Walnut Ridge Cemetery. He died Thursday, March 21, 2013, at Clark Memorial Hospital. 

He enjoyed hunting and fishing and recently played for the Watson Dodgers baseball team. He retired from Bacon’s Department Store and  was an Army veteran of WWII. He was an active and faithful member of St. James United Methodist Church. He was a native of Jeffersonville.

He is survived by his four children, Robert L. Stum Jr. and his wife, Ann; Carolyn Stum; Gregory M. Stum and his wife, Maria and Jeffrey D. Stum; four grandchildren, Ivori Stum, Yevette Fields, Tavish Stum and Davin Stum; four great-grandchildren, Rob-breek Saunders, Jasmine, Lily and Iris Fields; three sisters, Helen Roby, Dorothy Winburn and Mary Miles. 

He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Stum; parents, George and Ivory Stum; daughters, Nancy Stum and Joan Cousins; siblings, Anna Mae Stum, Wayman Stum, Francis Stum, Charles Stum and Clifford Stum. 

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the church. E.M. Coots’ Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
