Eugene 'Red' Perry, 84; of Jeffersonville

A celebration-of-life service for Eugene “Red” Perry, 84, of Jeffersonville, will be at 5 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 27, at Buchanan Funeral Home, Austin, with burial in Austin Cemetery. He died Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2013, in Clarksville.

He was born Feb. 20, 1928, in Austin, to the late Altus Perry and Anna Guynn Perry. He married Thelma Fields on Jan. 15, 1950, who passed away April 20, 2003. He was the former owner and operator of Perry Oil Service in Austin for 50 years.      

Survivors include his son, Ben Perry and his wife, Sue, of Clarksville; a daughter, Carrie Towle, of Louisville; and three grandchildren, James Towle III, Torie Towle and Joy Vest. 

Visitation will be from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, at the funeral home.
