Funeral services for Brasher Bacon, 91, of Clarksville, will be private, with burial in Madisonville, Ky. He died Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2013.
He was originally from Madisonville, Ky., served in the US Army during World War II, graduated from Michigan State with a Bachelor’s in Forestry, was proprietor of B.C. Bacon Hardwood Lumber Co. He enjoyed singing with the Louisville Thoroughbred Chorus, and served on the Board of Trustees at Floyd Memorial Hospital for eight years. He was a member of St. Paul Episcopal Church, the American Legion and the VFW, as well as an avid outdoorsman and fisherman.
His survivors include his wife, Nadine Lambert Bacon; children, Debi Minnich (Lewis Morris), Mark Lambert Bacon and Emily Marie Flowers and her husband, Richard; his grandchildren, Amanda, Alex and his wife, Brianne, and Aaron Minnich, Steven and John Scott Flowers.
