Richard M. Goldstein M.D.

77; New Albany

— Funeral services for Richard M. Goldstein M.D., 77, New Albany, will be at noon today, Friday, March 28, at Kraft Funeral Service, Charlestown Road Chapel, New Albany. He died Wednesday, March 26, 2014, at Clark Memorial Hospital.

 He was born June 7, 1936 to the late Moses and Ida Goodman Goldstein. Dr. Goldstein was a surgeon for more than 50 years and operated the Goodman Clinic in Charlestown. He practiced at Clark, Floyd and St. Catherine Hospitals and served as a Captain M.D. in the U.S. Army. He loved golf and travel and most of all his family and wife of some 28 years, Patty. He will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by all of his family and many patients that he served throughout the years.

Survivors include his wife of 28 years, Patricia Kay Hublar Goldstein; two sons, David A. Goldstein and wife, Heather, and Ben A. Goldstein and wife, Laura; stepson, Kevin A. Reed; four grandchildren,  A.J., Matthew, Jonus, and Elias Goldstein; and sister, Carol Lissack.      

Visitation will be after 9 a.m. today, at the funeral home.
