Elizabeth Joan (Didat) ‘Betty Jo’ Tucker

71; Floyds Knobs

— A funeral Mass for Elizabeth Joan (Didat) “Betty Jo” Tucker, will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 2, at St. Mary of the Knobs Catholic Church, with burial to follow at the church cemetery at a later date. She died Thursday, March 27, 2014, in Sarasota, Fla.

Betty Jo was born on March 13, 1943, to the late Joseph and Catherine (Schindler) Didat. She loved her community and served it well through many committees like Habitat for Humanity and Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. Betty Jo found success in real estate which she sold locally for 40 years. She enjoyed playing Bunco and was a lifetime member of St. Mary of the Knobs Catholic Church.  

She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Joey Tucker; sons, Greg Tucker (Lori) and Eric Tucker (Beth); brother, John Didat (Sharon); grandchildren, Katy, Haley, Sam, Ben and Max; and sister-in-law, Suzanne Blunk.

Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Monday, at Newcomer Funeral Home, New Albany.
