A funeral Mass for Marilyn J. Ott, 82, of Georgetown, will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 3, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, New Albany, with interment to follow in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery, New Albany. She died Thursday, March 28, 2013, at The Villas of Guerin Woods.
She was the former Marilyn Forbis, a native of Charlotte, N.C.. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, New Albany. Marilyn was a teacher of C.C.D. classes, a member of the Crusillo movement at Mt. St. Francis and a member of the Charismatic Movement at St. Mary’s.
Survivors include a son, Michael H. Ott and his wife Ginger, of Abington, Pa.; daughters, Mary J. Conway and her husband Craig, of Clarksville, Rose A. Greene and her husband Mick, of Georgetown and Catherine E. Stenger, of Henryville; six grandchildren, Tara (Adam) Green, Ryan (Brenn) Ott, Andrew Ott, Michael Greene, Christina Greene and Jessica Stenger; and two great-grandchildren, A.J. and Ty Green.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Roger H. Ott; daughter, Susan Marie Ott; sisters, Eleanor Goff and JoAnn Milliner; and parents, Ralph and Juanita Forbis.
Visitation is from 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and after 9 a.m. Wednesday at the Market Street Chapel of Seabrook Dieckmann & Naville Funeral Homes, New Albany.
