Funeral services for Jack Gibson, 81, of Clarksville, will be at 1 p.m. Monday, July 1, at E.M. Coots’ Sons Funeral Home, Jeffersonville, with burial in Walnut Ridge Cemetery, Jeffersonville. He died Wednesday, June 26, 2013, at Westminster Healthcare Village.
He retired from working maintenance at Public Service of Indiana, served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, and was a member of American Legion Bonnie Sloan Post 28. He was a native of Calhoun, Ky.
Survivors include his son, Brent R. Gibson and wife, Donna, of Clarksville; grandsons, Dru Gibson, Corey Gibson and Ryan Gibson; brothers, William Gibson, of Calhoun, Ky., and Arville Gibson, of Placentia, Calif.; brother-in-law, Howard Roller and wife, Marie, of Jeffersonville; and nephew, Brandon M. Roller, of Jeffersonville.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Delores J. Gibson; father, Earl Gibson; mother, Edith Gibson; brothers, Jarrett Gibson, and Daws Gibson; and sisters, Katie Slinker, Mary Jo Stinnett, Karlene Howard and Christine Conway.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of service Monday, at the funeral home.
