Betty Jean (Scott) Temple, 83; of Borden

Funeral services for Betty Jean (Scott) Temple, 83, of Borden, will be at 11 a.m. Friday, April 12, at Chapel Hill Christian Church, with burial to follow in Chapel Hill Cemetery. She died Tuesday, April 9, 2013, at Floyd Memorial Hospital and Health Services.

She was born Feb. 17, 1930, in Lexington, Ky., to Roy W. and Thelma (McIntyre) Scott. She was a member of Chapel Hill Christian Church.

Survivors include her husband of 67 years, Robert Temple; four children, Bobby Temple and his wife, Jane, James Temple and his wife, Linda, Karen Quinn and her husband, Sam, and Michael Temple and his wife, Mary; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; a brother, Roy W. Scott Sr.; a stepbrother, Lawrence Temple Jr.; stepsisters, Edity Powell and Norma Goodrich and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation at Love Funeral Home in Palmyra will be from 1 to 8 p.m. Thursday and from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Friday at the church.
