Harry L. King Sr., New Albany

— A funeral service celebrating the life of Harry L. King Sr., New Albany, will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 16, at Seabrook Dieckmann & Naville Funeral Homes, Market Street Chapel, New Albany, with burial in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park, New Albany. He went to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, Oct. 14, 2013.

 He was a member of the First Church of God. He was retired from Occidental Petroleum in 1991 after 38 years of employment that consisted mostly of electrical maintenance. He also served in the Army’s 194th Tank Division during the Korean War.

He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Judith Horlander Grantz King; sons, Rev. Carlos King and his wife, Sharon, Harry King Jr., and Thomas King; his daughter, Charolotte Wysong and her husband, Butch; step daughters, Mary Ann Berger and her husband, Chuck, Lisa Dailey and her husband, Marty, Gina Uland and her husband, Jim, and Robin Zimmerman and her husband, Tom; sister, May McDaniel and her husband, Norman; 20 grandchildren; 18 great- grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

 He was preceded in death by his father, Robert King, his mother, Lillie Johnson King, four brothers and two sisters.

Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. today, at the funeral home.
