David Edward Stewart

67; Georgetown

— A funeral Mass for David Edward Stewart, 67, Georgetown, will be 11:30 a.m. Monday, Dec. 16, at Holy Family Catholic Church, with burial to follow in Holy Trinity Catholic Cemetery. He died peacefully at home on Wednesday, Dec. 11, 2013.

The son of the late Richard A. and Mildred (Goodman) Stewart, David was born April 11, 1946, in New Albany. He was a graduate of Providence High School and retired from Boland-Maloney Lumber. He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus and the Men’s Club at Providence High School. David had a great sense of humor and also enjoyed gardening, cooking, collecting, making wine and camping.

Survivors include his sister and brother-in-law, Ruth S. and Frank Payne; sister-in-law, Carolyn Stewart; nieces and nephews, Teri Blackman, Rick Stewart and Clint and Denny Payne; nine nieces and nephews and a multitude of friends.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Richard J. Stewart.   

Memorial visitation will be from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Kraft Funeral Service, Spring Street Chapel, New Albany, and after 10:30 a.m.  Monday at the church.
