Mary E. Maloney

97; Richmond

— Funeral services for  Mary E. Maloney, 97, Richmond, will be at 3 p.m. Sunday Dec. 22, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home, Richmond, with burial at 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 23, at Walnut Ridge Cemetery, Jeffersonville. She died Tuesday, Dec. 17, 2013, at Reid Hospital.

Born Dec. 26, 1915, in Terre Haute, to Joseph and Leona Anthis, she lived in Richmond most of her life. She was a 1923 graduate of Morton High School. She was a secretary at AVCO and retired from Wright Patterson AFB after many years. Mary was also a secretary at Earlham College and worked at the Richmond Historical Society. She was a member of First Christian Church.

Survivors include her daughters, Susan Brummett and her husband, Caleb, Florence, Ky. and BethAnne Hicks, Prescott Valley, Ariz.; two grandchildren, Michael and Michelle; nieces; and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James E. Maloney; parents; and sister, Mildred Hughes-Bullington.

Visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday, at the funeral home.
