Helen I. (Peachie) Breece, 105; Crestwood

— Helen I. (Peachie) Breece, 105, Crestwood, died at home with her family by her side on June 14, 2014. 

She was an active member of Trinity United Methodist Church and a past member of the board of directors of the Southern Indiana Mental Health and Guidance Center. She was a board member and volunteer for the Floyd County Mental Health Association, Floyd Memorial Hospital and the county museum. She was a member of Tri Kappa Sorority, Coterie Club and the New Albany Country Club. She was also a Girl Scout leader and den mother for the Cub Scouts.

Survivors include her children, John T. Breece II (Susan), James E. Breece, Jr. (Jane), and Patricia Breece McKinney (Bernard). She has nine grandchildren and their families including 15 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. We love and miss her dearly.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James E. Breece Sr.; and daughter, Brenda Breece Wells (Joe).

 The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to Trinity United Methodist Church in New Albany. Mrs. Breece bequeathed her body to U of L medical center.
