Robert Keith Wilson

79; of Jeffersonville

— Funeral services for Robert Keith Wilson, 79, of Jeffersonville, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 1, at Scott Funeral Home, Jeffersonville, with burial in Martinsburg Cemetery. He died Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2012.

He was born in Jeffersonville, to Lucille and Audrey Wilson, deceased. He married the love of his youth, Grace Elizabeth Karnes, also deceased. Shortly after marriage, he served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. After discharge from the Air Force, he worked as a stockbroker for Stifel Nicolaus. He had a great passion for business and working with people. He eventually specialized in mergers and acquisitions as an executive vice president for Stifel and served on the board of directors for a number of businesses retiring in 2002. He was a founding member of Northside Church of Christ and served the church as an elder and a director of South Central Christian Children’s Home (now called Childplace) for which he traveled extensively throughout Indiana and Kentucky raising support. He loved to fish, golf, and vacation with his family.

He is survived by two sons, David, and his wife, Patsy, of Sherman, Texas, and Paul, of Clarksville; two daughters, Linda, of New Albany, and Twyla, of Clarksville; grandchildren, Lachlan, Leah, Lauren, Darbie, Aaron, and Kendell; and seven great-grandchildren.
