Sylvia Romance Seebach

99; New Albany

Funeral services celebrating the life of Sylvia Romance Seebach, 99, New Albany, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 23, at Seabrook Dieckmann & Naville Funeral Homes, Market Street Chapel, New Albany, with burial in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park, New Albany. She died Friday, Jan. 17, 2014, at her home.

 She was the former Sylvan Smith, born in Floyds Knobs, and worked for many years at the H.A. Seinsheimers Company and the Olin Matheson Ammunition Plant. She was a Christian.

Survivors include her daughter, Nancy Ricketts and her husband, John; her brother, Dwight P. Smith and his wife, Brenda; her stepbrother, Alvin Brown and his wife,  Linda; three sisters, Dorothy Copler and her husband, Donald, Glenda Hoffman, and Clara Faye Gregory; 12 grandchildren; 18 great- grandchildren; and many great-great grandchildren.

 She was preceded in death by her first husband, Charles Kenneth Smith, her second husband, William H. Seebach, her parents, William and Minnie Smith, three sons, Kenneth, James and William Smith, four sisters, Wanda Wells, Macil Watson, Valeria Thomas and Catherine Seebach, and a brother, William Smith.

Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, at the funeral home.
