Rosemary (Steinert) Wright Denny

83; New Albany

— A funeral Mass for  Rosemary (Steinert) Wright Denny, 83, New Albany, will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, New Albany, with entombment to follow at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park. He died Thursday, Nov. 21, 2013, at Lincoln Hills Healthcare, surrounded by her loving family.

She was a lifelong member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in New Albany. Rosie had worked at National Health Lab and the Steinert’s Tavern. Rosemary was a past president of the American Women Business Association. 

Rosie was born on Feb. 21, 1930, to the late Joseph J. and Rose (Schaefer) Steinert.  

She is survived by her loving daughter, Kathy Ransdell; brother, James Steinert; grandchildren, David (Katie) Ransdell and Sarah (Rick) Edwards; two great-grandchildren, Daniel Dawkins and Derrick Ransdell; several nieces and nephews; and her beloved cat, Miss Chubs.

Besides her parenrs she was also preceded in death by her husband, Albert “Bert” Denny; brothers Mike and Paul Steinert; and sisters, Dorothy Bell and Martha Banet. 

Visitation will be from 12 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Newcomer Funeral Home, New Albany.
