Milton “Mickey” Hislip, 79; Clarksville

— Funeral services for Milton “Mickey” Hislip, 79, of Clarksville, will be held at 1 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 26, 2013, at Legacy Funeral Center in Jeffersonville, with burial to follow in Charlestown Cemetery. He passed away on Friday, Nov. 22, 2013, at Clark Memorial Hospital.

He was born on February 26, 1934, in Switz City, Ind., a retired forklift operator for I.C.I. America in Charlestown and he loved his faithful companion Heidi.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Cecil Hislip and Nina Marie Rudolph; and a sister, Norma Jean Jessee.

He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Betty Hislip; five children, John Hislip and his wife Kim, Donna Vance and her husband Bobby, Jackie Vargas and her husband Antonio, Hope Hislip, Barbara Ann White and her husband Larry; a niece, Karen Shives and her husband Odell; a nephew, Lynn Whisman and his wife Reva; five grandchildren, Stephanie, Matt, Angela, Aaron, Charity; and five great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Monday from 3 to 8 p.m. and after 9 a.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
