Katrina S. Hays, of Evansville

— Katrina S. Hays, of Evansville, died Monday, March 18, 2013, after a long struggle with cancer.

She spent her elementary years in Jeffersonville, before living in Seoul, South Korea, Washington D.C. and Ankara, Turkey. She returned to Jeffersonville to complete high school and then attended the University of Evansville. She made her home in Evansville upon graduation. She will forever be remembered as a great friend, sister, daughter and aunt. Her loves were to travel, scrapbook, and especially spending time with her friends.

Survivors include her father, David P. Gibbs; brother, David A. Gibbs and sister-in-law Melissa “Missy” Gibbs. She was the loving Aunt to her nieces, Emily, Katie and Sallie Gibbs and her grandniece, Tessa Gibbs.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Jeanette G. Wynne; brother, Tony B. Gibbs; and mother-in-law, Thelma B. Gibbs.

May God's blessing be upon Katrina as she rejoins departed family and friends. She will be missed by those she leaves behind.

A special thank you to the staff at Charlier Hospice who made Katrina's final days more peaceful.
