Harold L. Wells

84; of New Albany

Funeral services for Harold L. Wells, 84, of New Albany, will be at 1 p.m. Monday, Nov. 5, at Seabrook Dieckmann & Naville Funeral Homes, Market Street Chapel, New Albany, with entombment in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park. He died Friday, Nov. 2, 2012, at Floyd Memorial Hospital and Health Services, New Albany.

 He was a native of Hartford, Ky., retired from DuPont, Louisville, and was a member of the American Legion Post 28, V.F.W. Hobart Beach Post 1693, Plumb Masonic Lodge and Tri County Shrine Club. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

  Survivors include his wife, Dorothy “Dot” Swords Wells; son, Timothy Wells and his wife, Debbie, of Fredericksburg; daughter, Diane Renn, of Sellersburg; brother, James Wells, of Louisville; five grandchildren; and four great- grandchildren.

 He was preceded in death by his father, Wilbert Wells, mother, Elizabeth Wells-Barton, and brothers, Mahlon and John Wells.

Visitation will be from noon to 8 p.m. Sunday and 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday, at the funeral home.

Expressions of sympathy may be made to the American Heart Association or Vista Care Hospice.
