Myra Jo Myers

58; of Clarksville

Myra Jo Myers, 58, of Clarksville, died Monday, March 12, 2012, at her home.

She was born in Jeffersonville and was a supervisor for Eckart America in Louisville, and a former employee of Marcus Paints and Reynolds Metals. She was a graduate of St. Michael’s Elementary in Charlestown, and Providence High School. She was a loving mother, daughter and sister. She loved to garden, going to Hanover Beach, and kept alive the family card playing tradition, and playing with her canine companions.

Survivors include her husband, Ronnie Jarrell; her mother, Margaret Hess, of Madison; two sons, Lee Michael Myers, of New Albany, and Evan Martin Myers, of Clarksville; a brother, Gary Lee Hess and his wife, Mary, of Kingsport, Tenn.; a sister, Donna Kay Laflin and her husband, Terrill, of Hendersonville, Tenn. and three nieces, Katie, Erin, and Paige, who will miss her dearly.

She was preceded in death by her father, Edward Martin Hess; and a brother, Michael Edward Hess.

Cremation was chosen. Expressions of sympathy may be made in the form of contributions to Hosparus of Southern Indiana, 612 Spring St., New Albany, IN, 47150.

Chapman Funeral Home, Clarksville, is in charge of arrangements.
