Funeral services for Robert E. Potter, 85, New Albany, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 23, at the Oak Street Chapel of Seabrook Dieckmann & Naville in New Albany with burial in SCI-Graceland Memorial Park. He died Saturday April 19, 2014, at Floyd Memorial Hospital.
He was born in Louisville and was an Army Veteran of the Korean War, and was a retired printer. Above all else, he was a “family man” and was a member of Main Street United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Marie Potter and his brother Kenneth Potter.
He is survived by his wife of almost 62 years, Delores Kimes Potter; two sons, Gary Potter and his wife Sharon, and Wayne Potter; five grandchildren, Eric Potter, Andrea Starks, Paige Potter, Sarah Potter, Nick Potter; two great grandchildren, Malakai and Aislinn Starks.
Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and from 9 to 10 a.m. Wednesday before the service.
Memorial contributions may go to The American Heart Association or Down Syndrome of Louisville.
