John L. Eggenspiller Sr., 78; Floyds Knobs

— Funeral services for John L. Eggenspiller Sr., 78, of Littleton, Colo., will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, April 24, at E.M. Coots’ Sons Funeral Home in Jeffersonville with burial to follow in Eastern Cemetery. He died Sunday, April 13, 2014.

He loved and lived for his family and his dog Wee Wee. He served in the Marines and retired from Navistar.

He leaves behind four sons, John L. Jr., Jeffrey D., Thomas J., and Robert G.; a daughter Terrie L. Lindslay, his sisters, Birdie and Sarah; grandchildren, great grandchildren; and his buddies at “The Station.”

The Eggenspiller family would like to extend a special thank you to neighbors Betsy and Teacup, for all of the love, support and help during his illness.

He preceded in death by his wife Carman C. Eggenspiller; son, Joseph B.; two brothers and 10 sisters.

Visitation will be held after 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
