Aaron Vickery

90; Clarksville, formerly of Fort Branch

—  Funeral services for Aaron Vickery, 90,  Clarksville, a native of Fort Branch,  will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 24, at Scott Funeral Homes North Chapel, Jeffersonville, with entombment in Graceland Memorial Park, New Albany. He died Saturday, April 19, 2014.

A Purdue University graduate, he was a licensed mechanical engineer in Kentucky and Indiana. He was a member of the Fort Branch F&AM Masonic Lodge 696, Evansville, consistory of Ancient & Accepted Scottish Rite. He was a long time member of Morton Memorial United Methodist Church and a Veteran of the Army Air Force during World War II.

He was the beloved husband to the late Elizabeth Vickery and devoted father to son, William Bauer and wife, Charlene, Danvers, Mass. and daughter, Dr. Jeannie Vickery, Zionsville. Other survivors, grandchildren, Sean, Hans and Christopher and great-grandchildren, Aidan and Hannah.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, and after 9 a.m. Thursday, at the funeral home.  

Expressions of sympathy can take the form of contributions to the American Heart Association or Diabetes Foundation. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
