Ray V. Pinion, 69; New Albany

— Funeral Mass for Ray V. Pinion, 69, New Albany, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 26, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, New Albany, followed by private interment. He died Wednesday, April 23, 2014, at Floyd Memorial Hospital and Health Services, New Albany, with his family by his side.

He was born in Lexington, N. C. and was retired from Fetter Printing Co. in Louisville. He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, New Albany, and was a Home Kid from the American Children’s Home in Lexington, N.C.

Survivors Include his wife, Betty S. Meek Pinion, New Albany; son, David R. Pinion and his wife, Kathryn, Mt. Washington, Ky.; stepson, Joe Meek and his wife, Lani, Louisville; daughter, Kerri S. Stallings, Sellersburg; brother, Thomas P. Pinion, Bedford, Va.; sister, Evelyn Friedel, New Albany; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

The family would like to sincerely thank Amanda Gaige and Ramona Mattingly for their care during his illness.

Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday, at Seabrook Dieckmann & Naville Funeral Homes, Market Street Chapel, New Albany.
