Catherine Marie Schindler Hadley, 95; New Albany

— Funeral Mass for Catherine Marie Schindler Hadley, 95, New Albany, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 10, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, New Albany. She died Wednesday, May 7, 2014.

 She attended Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church and was an associate member at Cathedral of the Assumption. She was also a member of the Pocahontas Council in New Albany and a lifelong member of the Women’s Democrat Club. She was born July 24, 1918 in New Albany,  to the late Adam and Mary Engl. Schindler.

Survivors include her children, Beverly H. Brock, John Hadley, Rose Marie Williams and her husband,  Don, and V. “Ric” Hadley and his wife, Eileen; brother, Carl “Moe” Schindler; 13 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Virlen H. Hadley; brothers, Joe and Louis Schindler; and sister, Mary Schindler Kasse.

The family would like to thank all the nurses and aides at Diversicare – Providence Retirement Home for the wonderful care they have provided, as well as, two very special friends, Carl Seacat and  Diana Sturdy, for their love and support.

Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday, at the funeral home.
