Thelma R. (Langston) Anderson, 85; of Clarksville

Thelma R. (Langston) Anderson, 85, of Clarksville, passed away on Friday, July 12, 2013. Burial will take place at a later date in New Albany National Cemetery. 

Thelma was born Feb. 9, 1928, in New Albany, to the late Ollie and Violet (Austin) Langston. She was a resident at Wedgewood Healthcare Center, loved to play Bunco and read magazines. Thelma also enjoyed tending to her flowers, shopping and spending time with her family, which she loved dearly. 

She is survived by her husband of 65 years, James W. Anderson Sr.; children, Eddie Brumback and his wife Kathy, Glenda Manning, Jimmy Anderson Jr. and his wife, Sherrie, Bobby Anderson and his wife, Jackie, Janet Webb, and Sally Spray and her husband, Doug; 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Carolyn Salmon. 

Cremation was chosen following Thelma’s wishes. Newcomer Funeral Home, New Albany, was entrusted with her care.
