Paul Richard Lovett, 82; Jeffersonville


A memorial gathering for Paul Richard Lovett, 82, Jeffersonville, will be at 3 p.m. Saturday, July 27, at First Christian Church, 3209 Middle Road, Jeffersonville. He died Sunday, July 21, 2013, with his family by his side.  

He was born Sept. 5, 1930, in Williamsburg, Ky., to the late Roscoe and Myrtle Hawkins Lovett. After serving his country with the U.S. Army in the Korean War, he studied at Cumberland and Union colleges, graduating summa cum laude with a degree in business. He retired from the Internal Revenue Service after 35 years and started his own accounting business. 

 He is survived by his sons and daughters; his grandaughters, and their children.

He was preceded in death by Iona Faye Walters, his cherished wife of 56 years; his infant daughter, Winona; and his sister, Rossalee Centers.
