William Franklin ‘Bill’ Stotts, 69; of Sellersburg

Funeral services for William Franklin “Bill” Stotts, 69, Sellersburg, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 27, at Adams Funeral Home & Crematory, Henryville, with burial in Mt. Zion Cemetery. He went home to be with his Lord on Wednesday, July 24, 2013, at IU Medical Center in Indianapolis.

Born Jan. 30, 1944, in Jeffersonville, he was the son of George W. and Minnie Colvin Stotts, who are both deceased. He retired in 2009 from Bales Motor Company, Jeffersonville, as an auto mechanic after 10 years of service. He also worked for Furnishes for several years after graduating from Henryville High School in 1963. He served as a deacon and trustee at Victory Baptist Church in Sellersburg, where he was a vigilant prayer warrior. He lived his life for the church and the Lord, serving to the needs of the church.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara “Tootie” Snelling Stotts, married Feb. 28, 1964; two daughters,  Amber Bolton and her husband, Todd, of Sellersburg, and Autumn Thurmond and her husband, Zac, of Sellersburg; four grandchildren, Christian “Bub” Bolton, Grace Bolton, Mackenzie Thurmond, and Mesa Hardesty; one sister, Mae Tackett, of New Albany; and one brother, Ola “Bud” Stotts and his wife, Evelyn, of Floyds Knobs.

In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by two brothers, Arthur and Donald Stotts.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. today, Friday, July 26, and after 10 a.m. Saturday, at the funeral home
