Martha Hurt Huffman

91; of Jeffersonville

 Funeral services for Martha Hurt Huffman, 91, of Jeffersonville, will be at 12 noon,  Monday, Jan. 21, at Scott Funeral Home, Jeffersonville, with burial in Walnut Ridge Cemetery. She died Thursday, Jan. 17, 2013, at Riverview Village Health Care.

 She was born in Marrowbone, Ky., a homemaker and a very active member of Rolling Fields Baptist Church. She was a talented artist who took delight in decorating her home where she enjoyed entertaining friends and family.   

  She is survived by a daughter, Lennea Denny Blythe, of Jeffersonville; three grandchildren, Dorina Barnette, Matthew Blythe, and Lauren King; three great-grandchildren, Ben, Sabra, and David; one great-great grandson, Mason; and many nieces and nephews.

  She was preceded in death by her husband, Val Gene Huffman, her parents, Steve and Lena Hurt, a son, Thomas Lee Denny, a daughter, Shirley Diane Dismore, a grandson, Thomas Lee Dismore, and seven siblings, Otis Hurt, Gaither Hurt, Ted Hurt, Walter Hurt, Travis Hurt, Gladys Riddle and Grace Dyer.

Visitation will be from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday, and after 9 a.m. Monday, at the funeral home.

   Memorial contributions can be made to Rolling Fields Baptist Church.  Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
