Wanda M. Whitis Hooper, 62; of New Albany

— Funeral services for Wanda M. Whitis Hooper, 62, of New Albany, will be at 12 p.m. Monday, Feb. 4, in the Kraft Funeral Service Charlestown Road Chapel, New Albany, with burial to follow in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park, New Albany. She died Thursday, Jan. 31, 2013, at Floyd Memorial Hospital and Health Services. 

She was born May 16, 1950, in Somerset, Ky., to the late Bradley and Lela Phelps Whitis and was a daycare attendant at the Malysz-Norwood DayCare Center in New Albany. She will be greatly missed by all her family and friends. 

Survivors include her husband of 45 years, Terry R. Hooper;  a granddaughter, Kailyn Hooper, of Corydon; two sisters, Bernice Philips, of Clarksville and Pauline Glass and her husband Stanley, of Floyds Knobs; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a son, Jeffrey Hooper.  

Visitation will be from noon to 6 p.m. Sunday and after 9 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
